Stress, grief and loss, relationships, self-esteem, our career and job, depression, and just a general lack of direction and purpose are all issues that affect us. On a personal note, I feel well qualified to work with individuals who are experiencing grief and loss in their lives. My wife and I traveled a terrible journey of our own, having lost our beloved daughter to cancer at age 14. Along with solid counseling strategies, I am a strong proponent of using humor at appropriate times to help you tackle your life challenges. One of my specialties is in the area of career counseling. As a retired college vice president of student development, along with my 35 years of career counseling experience, I bring a unique understanding to what it takes to be happy and successful. We will work together to explore your interests, values, skills, talents, strengths, abilities, and personality, leading to the development of your career goals and life plan. As Vice President at a large college, I have interviewed, read resumes and poured over cover letters from hundreds of applicants, ranging from senior managers to entry level staff. I have real life experience and know what it takes to help you stand out as an applicant. We will reach the “WOW” factor. As for job interviewing, we will create a commanding script for the most commonly asked questions that will “knock the socks” (they’re probably not wearing flip-flops) off of your interviewer. Let’s get to work! History Established in 2013. I received my doctorate/PhD in counseling and spent many years helping individuals reach their personal and professional goals.
