Brainable Learningâ„ offers in-home and online brain-based personalized tutoring, academic coaching, and homeschool support to help students master the knowledge and skills to succeed in school and the habits of mind and behaviors to become lifelong learners. History Established in 2018. Building a strong mentoring relationship with students is at the core of everything I do. Getting to know students on a personal level, their motivations, challenges, and interests allows me to tailor my instruction and motivate every learner to grow both academically and personally.I also work closely with parents and teachers (if requested) to create a support team for every learner. It is through frequent, clear communication with parents and teachers that I can ensure that our efforts are reinforced at home and at school. I provide parents and teachers with periodic updates and welcome their valuable feedback. While all my instructional approaches are evidence-based, I also ensure the learning experience is fun and engaging for my students. Whenever possible I incorporate motivational techniques such as student choice and interests because happy learners are lifelong learners!
I started Brainable Learning because I am passionate about helping students become successful, independent, lifelong learners. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from the USC Rossier School of Education and a CA teaching credential from UC Berkeley Extension. I also bring nearly a decade of professional teaching and tutoring experience to my work with students. The best part my work as a mentor is seeing my students gain self-confidence and a love of learning. I also enjoy watching my students gain a sense of empowerment when they begin to embrace challenges and mistakes as learning opportunities. I look forward to helping your child accomplish their academic and personal goals! In my free time, I enjoy hiking and playing tennis. I also enjoy traveling and listening to music from all over the world. One interesting fact about me is that I am an identical twin (P.S. He lives in Indiana, so you don't have to worry about us playing any tricks!).
