Study Smart Tutors Inc was founded to help students from varying economic backgrounds build confidence, develop learning skills, and realize their college dreams.Study Smart Tutors works with schools, outreach programs, and college access organizations to provide efficient and effective test preparation and college access programming.We accomplish these lofty goals by employing the most competent academic achievers to instruct our students in ways that are unique, interactive, and academically challenging. We have experience working with students from low-income and ELL families, and have conducted workshops for Tens of Thousands of these students. History Established in 2008. The founder of the company, Jack Friedman, started the company out of his dorm room at USC in 2008. He worked for a large tutoring company, and when assigned to tutor low-income students in South Central LA, he realized that the materials he was using did not fit the needs of the students he was working with. After acknowledging this gap, Jack began working towards creating a company that is focused on the needs and learning style of low-income, first generation college bound students.
