MeriEducation

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of California educational system, Joan Nguyen, who was a three-time Chancellor's Distinction Award recipient, started MeriEducation in 2008 as an alternative to the cookie-cutter educational programs that exist. With a passion to seek innovation in perhaps the most important field-- education, Nguyen conceptualized test preparation programs founded on quality, innovation, and effectiveness. Unlike many test prep companies, the MeriEducation curriculum is edited three to four times a year-- carefully fine-tuned, using the feedback of instructors, comments by students, and updates on the real tests. Nguyen developed high standards for instructors, who must score in the 98th percentile in order to teach. Most importantly, Nguyen has developed a company culture that truly focuses on MeriEducation's relationships with its students and among peer educators, creating a positive learning environment.
