Brooklyn Math Tutors provides compassionate, personalized, in-home tutoring tostudents of all ages. Elementary and Secondary math, NYS Math and ELA state tests,SHSAT, ISEE, SSAT, SAT, ACT and more. Call us for a free consultation. History Established in 2008. I started tutoring as a side gig while working as computer programmer. Helping students succeed turned out to be far more satisfying than helping hedge fund managers count their money, and so I started tutoring full time in 2009. By 2011 Brooklyn Math Tutors became a small math-focused agency.

About The Provider:

Alex has enjoyed tutoring math, science, and other technical topics since he was a teenager at Stuyvesant High School. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University, worked as a Researcher at Carnegie Mellon, and did a brief stint as a technology consultant before leaving the corporate and academic worlds to tutor full time. Having worked with kids, adults, and everyone in between, he came to see that math-phobia, uncertainty, and boredom - not a lack of innate talent - keeps most students from succeeding.
