This program makes it possible for families of all income levels to receive one-on-one academic help for their children.Using an independent evaluation, our tutors work with each student to identify their learning strengths and weaknesses and then develop an individual program tailored to those needs. �Homework Help and Academic Booster programOur FREE Homework Help program is for elementary-aged kids. Students work on homework assignments with volunteer tutors who are supervised by our Directors. We hold these sessions every Monday and Wednesday from 3:30 – 5:30pm here at the Center at 1411 N Fort Harrison Ave. in Clearwater, FLOur Academic Booster program is homework help and SAT/ACT prep for teens. This program is held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 – 8:30pm at our Center. History Established in 1998. America is failing its children when it comes to education. This is evidenced by the fact that over 30% of students drop out of high school each year. This is not just a problem for parents, teachers and schools. This is a problem for society and the nation as a whole!In spite of the statistics, we can do something about it! The Community Learning Center is a non-profit tutoring organization that was founded in 1998 with the simple but powerful idea that active, informed and trained citizens working closely with local schools and classroom teachers, can effect change.
