I’ve always had an aptitude for mathematics and science. But I soon realized that math is taught incorrectly in schools and colleges. I noticed that many instructors complicate math, throwing in steps that are unnecessary and confusing. But I knew that I could help people out – I was also well aware of how expensive tutoring companies are. But, that’s when my idea of an ‘affordable’ tutoring company was founded. At first, it was just me tutoring students after class. But I was able to help C students become B+ and even A+ students. Because I taught math differently, every student that I tutored said this exact line: “Wow, I didn’t think about it this way.” Time marched on, and through word of mouth, I was tutoring 20 students per month.
