At Manor Prep, we believe in the 3 P’s: Purpose, Preparation and Participation. We provide a community-like environment and highly qualified teachers to help students discover a purpose for learning. We deliver the conditions and skills that prepare them to be self-reliant and engaged, so they may participate fully in their academic lives. We offer a variety of programs, such as SAT, SHSAT, and TACHS preparation, individual tutoring for a variety of subjects, after school homework help, and other enrichment programs. Our purpose here is to realize the full potential of each and every single child and we believe in a well-rounded, wholesome approach to nurturing an independent child brimming with curiosity. History Established in 2017. Manor Prep was founded by two business partners who believe that proper education paves the way to success. One of them has been in the education field with multiple licenses for decades, and whose father was the superintendent of Staten Island public schools. The other has had three children’s worth of frustration when dealing with overpriced and ineffective prep schools. Together, they decided to create a model for a prep school that was more student-centered and focused on bettering all aspects of a student, from their knowledge and skills to their confidence and test-taking abilities.
